  2. Thanks for your suggestion. But we prefer to go ahead with our approach. I'm sure it will all work out well in the end.

  3. It will work out well for the organiser who cannot be bothered to deal with registrations, and do not care that there are people who travel all the way to Ubin, only to be told that they cannot take the tour as demand exceeds supply! It will work out SO WELL for such organisers!

    1. We are all volunteers and have limited bandwidth and resources.

I have managed many volunteer guided activities for more than a decade. For free activities, it is very common for people who signed up to not turn up. Usually, the no show rate is about 20%, it is higher when it rains or there is haze.

This deprives people who wanted to register but were turned away because all places were taken up.

Offering the activity only for people who are physically present is one way to avoid this issue and fairer to all those who made the effort to be present.

It is also all we can manage with our limited resources.

  5. Hi,
If I come to Ubin with my bicycle from mainland Singapore and use the bumboat, and go for your activity... where can I park my bike in a safe place, please. Thanks.

    1. Dear Gwen, If you have a bicycle lock with you, you can lock it up near our booth. Our volunteers can help keep an eye on it. What do you think of this proposal?

    1. What does 'gt' mean?

So far, per time slot, one boat, 8 persons max.

  10. I think it is a waste of time to try to get onto this tour if there are only 24 pax who can go. Many will be disappointed!
