4 Jun (Sat): Ubin Kampung Night Adventure with Sea Angel

Enjoy an evening of kampung fun and adventure at Pulau Ubin. Your evening begins with a kampung BBQ around a campfire! And play some kampung games! While kampung movies are screened on a bedsheet like in the good old days!

Then choose whether you would like to go night kayaking (limited number of kayaks will be provided). Or go on a night cycling trip (bring your own bike or rent your bike from Ubin Town). You will be accompanied by experienced guides who will share the fascinating dark side of Ubin.

Or you can stay at the campsite and just enjoy the night breeze and gaze at the stars. Far from the cares of the city.

See the true beauty of the night sky! The dark skies of Pulau Ubin has less light pollution and thus allow us to better gaze at the stars.

Using their telescopes, the NUS Astronomical Society will point out to you popular astronomical objects visible from Singapore. Also learn about astrophotography, that is, how to photograph these astronomical objects. Gain a new appreciation for a dark sky site like Pulau Ubin!

4 Jun (Sat): Fly Fishing Demo and Clinic with the Gamefish And Aquatic Rehabilitation Society

Sustainable fishing can be fun! Learn more about fly fishing techniques from the volunteers of the Gamefish And Aquatic Rehabilitation Society (GARS). Their mission is the preservation and restoration of freshwater/saltwater habitats, and to promote responsible and sustainable fishing.



4 Jun (Sat): Ubin Night Walk with Strix Wildlife Consultancy

Join this very special Ubin night walk under the umbrella of Strix Wildlife Consultancy led by Subaraj Rajathurai, the foremost nature guide in Singapore. This is a Herpetological Society of Singapore walk supported by the Vertebrate Study Group of the Nature Society (Singapore).

Presented by the Singapore Heritage Society, The Island of Everlasting Utility is a collection of images by filmmaker & photographer, Clarice Lee, reflecting the creativity and resourcefulness of Pulau Ubin islanders.


Items that are normally overlooked or discarded by people on the mainland have found new purposes in the hands of Ubin residents. Almost anything big or small, broken or old can serve a purpose.
